OK, I've installed winmerge. I can see that apart the \KMotion\Data Directory also the "G code programs" and "C programs" directories are affected (as I modified/added my programs there).
And once I move my C and G files to the new location, BOTH Kmotion and Mach3 need to be reconfigured as the paths don't match anymore.
In order to prevent this every time I update the Kmotion version, I've moved G files and C programs elsewhere and made both Mach3 and Kmotion point to that external location so that the old configuration is still working after a version update. Is this approach correct?
However, KmotionCNC is now complaining about missing emc.var file, every time I launch it. I can see that emc.var is in those directories I moved away, but couldn't find how to tell Kmotion the path to the new location.
How do I fix it?
Regards,
EC
